The gas pipeline, that will connect the gas transmission systems of Bulgaria and Hungary got the status of the project of the national importance
This was confirmed by the Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia Aleksandar Antić.
According to him, this project, which has strategic significance for Serbia, will provide the necessary resources for the development of the country’s industrial potential and the expansion of national gas infrastructure. In addition, the gas transit through this pipeline will provide significant revenues for the Serbian budget and notably reduce the current costs of the gas transportation.
The minister has also emphasized that a number of Serbian subcontractors are involved in the project implementation, which will also positively affect the economic life of the region in which the construction of the pipeline is taking place.
